Photographing the Creative Nude in the Studio Playing with Paper
Saturday 2/25/12: This workshop is an opportunity to photograph the human form in original, imaginative settings we’ll create throughout the day. Utilizing common items found in the studio, we’ll convert part of the studio at RED into a work zone to experiment with paper, foam board, and other items to construct multiple setups for the photographers and models to use. Photographers will have the opportunity to experiment with several setups they have constructed and experiment with different lighting techniques to control and manipulate the idea. Photographers will work one-on-one and in teams with the figure models for six hours of shooting. Two professional figure models, CH Harvey, MM #1520265, and Adrina Lynn, MM #1017067, will join us to inspire photographers of all levels of experience. $250 advance, $275 at the door http://creativenudeplayingwithpaper.eventbrite.com/

Shoot at Red Studio to host the Fall '11 Gathering!
The Fall 2011 Mid Atlantic Figure Photography Photographers, Models,
& Artists Gathering in Frederick, MD will be held Sunday November 20th, from
10 AM till 4 PM.
Red Studio has graciously offered to host the Fall '11 Gathering!
After the success of last springs event, I am thrilled Mike Pannier has again
offered to be our host.
We will be meeting at Red Studio, for a day of
Figure Fine Art activities. A great opportunity to meet your peers, either
artists, photographers, models, make up artists, collectors or friends of the
genre. This NON shooting event features guest speakers, a
print exchange, portfolio reviews and an opportunity to network in a very
special community.
WHAT: The Mid Atlantic Figure Fine Art Gathering,
this is NOT a Meet and Greet. This is an art oriented event that give
photographers, artists and models the opportunity to see one anther's
portfolios, make contacts and hopefully plans together. The fine art aspect of
figure work is stressed here. Glamour is happily tolerated, vulgarity is
not.

WHEN: Sunday, Nov 20th, 2011, from 10 AM till
4PM
WHO: Artists, models, photographers, collectors, gallery owners,
friends (Please Note: Due
to the nature of this event, where figure photography will be displayed, no one
under the age of 20 will be admitted. This rule is in place to protect the
hosts. Please respect our wishes).
What to
expect:
Please bring your portfolio. Any format, books and/or some
form of electronic presentation are welcome. Show off your best work. Bring
lots of business cards.
Guest Speakers: Photographer Eric McCollum, Model Zinn and Photographer Dan
Scenna
Show and Tell: Bring a thumbdrive with three JPEG images, and
present to the group, Three shots and Three minutes to talk, Sign up when you
RSVP, to reserve your spot. Limited to 15 Participants.
Special Competition: Win a Half Day Free Studio
Time! Bring a framed print of figure work for display at
the studio. All folks attending will vote for their favorites (one vote per
person). The winner gets a half day of free studio time at Red Studio. (and
yes, you take your entry home with you when you go home).
Print
Exchange: Bring an enlarged print, put it on the exchange table, when the
announced time comes, you may then select someone else's print for your very
own. A great way to start collecting. Please NOTE: The work you donate must
be your own if you are a photographer or of You if you are a model.
You may only take a print if you have donated
one.
How to Attend: It is very important that you RSVP to
me here. We are NOT meeting in a cafe. To best plan, we need to have a good
idea of how many are coming. We are trying to arrange some kind of munchie food
and beverages. Please RSVP early.

Dan Scenna's Fine Art Nude Workshop
This is a fine art figure workshop featuring Katlyn and Desi . Both models will be
nude seperately and together. Lighting will be available light and/or theatrical/photographic floods
(Not flash).
When: Sunday, November 6, 2011, doors open at 9:45, shoot begins at 10 AM
sharp. We will shoot till 2:30 ( there will be a 30 min lunch break)

Who: Open to all women photographers (over 20 years of age please). There
is a limit of 8 total photographers. A minimum of 6 is required to make this a
go.

Once I e-mail you back, send a check for $200 to me
Checks will not be cashed until we have the minimum needed to have the
workshop. If I do not have the minimum by Oct 29, I will cancel and return all
checks.

Photographing the Studio Nude with Natural Light
Saturday 6/18/11 This workshop is an introduction to lighting the human form with natural light in the studio. We’ll convert the studio bay door at RED into a giant softbox to demonstrate techniques with available light. Photographers will have the opportunity to experiment with several setups and light modifiers to control and manipulate the light. Photographers will work one-on-one and in teams with the figure models for six hours of shooting. Two professional figure models, C- Fresh, MM #1520265, and Melissa Trout, MM # 752466, will join us to inspire photographers of all levels of experience. $225 advance, $250 at the door. 
Space is limited to eight photographers and these workshops fill up fast! Enrollment is based on a first come, first served basis, so enroll as soon as possible to guarantee your spot! All enrollment fees are non-refundable, but we will allow you to transfer your enrollment to another interested party should you change your plans. Enrollment transfers may only occur up to 30 days prior to event. Complimentary lunch will be provided with question and answer sessions during lunch as well as throughout the day of course. Katlyn Lacoste Shootout
You are cordially invited to my shoot out being held at RED Studio in Frederick, MD, May 8th
-Gymnastics ( There will be a bar hung from the ceiling to hang from and bend upon )
-Jumping! The studio has super high ceilings and is able to capture air, great low angles, and movement.
( I will be bringing an assortment of fabrics with great sheen and shine to them so it will pick up the light. Will be great texture contrast with the fabric and skin. )
-Ca coon hoses! Could be though of as an nylon body condom. It is so unique I will bring all my ca-coons I have. There will be Black, White, Tan, and we can even tear them apart to get unique shadows and lighting.
***- We will also be hanging fabric from the ceiling that I can support my weight with too!
If you are interested in this Opportunity please get in touch with me! There are 2 Four Hour blocks of shooting time, 8AM - 12PM & 2PM - 6PM. There will be 3 other photographers shooting with you in that block of time.
The cost to attend is $170.00 Dollars. To have a full model release the cost is $200.00 Dollars.

Figure Photography Workshop
What: A Fine Art Figure Studio workshop, concentrating on the athletic physiques of Katelyn Lacoste and Tendu!
When: Sunday Feb 27, 2011, from 10 AM till 3 PM (with a half hour break for lunch).
Where: Red Studio, 5716D Industry Lane, Frederick, MD 21704, a great facility.
Cost: $250 per Photographer
What to expect: Continuous lighting, no waiting for your turn with the flash. Two separate work areas. One white backdrop, one black, Two groups of no more than 4 photographers at each workstation.
Who: Two wonderful models: Katlyn Lacoste (Mayhem #1227596) And Tendu: (Mayhem #1395779) Both have remarkable, athletically fit physiques, which we highlight with creative lighting.
